Want to spend the weekend celebrating nature with a group of friends, family or maybe some soon to be new friends? Camp Dubonett is a secret spot in the woods for glamping camping near traverse city! Located on a 16 acre horse farm, with camping experiences nestled amongst pines, birch and oak trees so your friends and family (furry or otherwise*) will enjoy the outdoors at it’s finest! We’re located next to 4,000 acres of state land that includes miles of hiking, horse and bike trails. With access to Lake Dubonnet through the woods, you can also enjoy fishing, canoeing or kayaking. If you are interested in fun day activities, we are located 8 miles from downtown Traverse City’s delicious food mecca. We’re also located at the bottom of the Leelanau peninsula that includes Sleeping Bear Dunes, several wineries, Northpoint Lighthouse and the adorable towns of Leland (Fishtown), Glen Arbor, Empire and Suttons Bay. We’re also LBGTQ+ family!

Ol' Woodcutters Airstream Argosy

Whether it’s a relaxing weekend retreat, or crash-pad for a busy getaway in nature, this 1974 Airstream Argosy Camper is a perfect spot. Relax outside, have a bonfire, stroll/run/bike/skip through miles of trails right out your doorstep! Sleeps up to 4 adults comfortably in one full sized bed, a single bed, and a convertible banquette. The trailer is equipped with electricity, 2 burner hotplate, dutch oven, sink, and refrigerator. *Shower, toilets, and sinks are located just 52 steps away.*

Vintage Glamping in the Woods

Escape to the Wood Cutter’s Coach for an adventure surrounded by nature. Perfect for a relaxing weekend, couples getaway, or solo adventure, the vintage ‘FAN Camper Coach’ sleeps up to 4 adults comfortably. One well behaved dog is welcome (deposit required). The trailer is equipped with electricity, stove, sink, refrigerator and microwave. Shower, toilets, and sinks are located just a few steps away.

There is a double bed, loft bed, and the banquette unfolds to a second smaller double bed.

Stargazer's Tent in The Woods

Escape to the woods, without all the hassle! Retreat to 16 beautiful acres of trails, and enjoy the ‘rustic life’ while you lounge atop a queen sized memory foam mattress in a fully outfitted Lotus Belle tent with skylights! An additional 2 cots makes this tent ready for up to 4 guests. This is a true Glamper’s Paradise. Wander the trails, enjoy all the perks farm life, visit with the horses and goats, and take in all the peace and quiet of Camp Dubonett. No pets allowed in the Stargazer’s tent.

Stay in a one of a kind canvas Lotus Bell tent with stargazing skylights, updated with all the modern conveniences you are looking for! This is true glamping without all the hassle of hauling a huge canvas tent and it’s poles along trails into the woods.

Camper Camping in the Woods

Enjoy the ease and comfort of a camper after those daily exciting vacation adventures. We allow up to 6 people to stay at a time. It has a queen bedroom, 4 single beds in the bunk room and a couch that folds down. The kitchen area includes non-potable water to wash dishes, a stove/oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, cups, plates, utensils, pots and pans. A TV and DVD player, puzzles and games are included. More games are available in our camp game room.

The camper is located at the beginning of our trails in the woods. Walk the trails over to the lake where there is great wildlife watching. If you’re also lucky you can see the families of deer that visit our farm almost every night. We have a game room and also offer a mini camp store with snacks and beverages available via an honor system.

Private Rentals

Are you planning a family camping weekend or maybe an outdoor group retreat? We offer the opportunity to “rent the camp.” This includes access to all of our camping experiences and having private access to the rest of the farm. Do you want to host a women’s yoga retreat or a men’s mindfulness weekend? How about just having a place for your entire large family to spend time together in a peaceful, private and quiet setting?

We can host up to groups of 20 and since you will be the only group on the property we allow for some flexibility in planned activities that you may have. (Still no loud noises… it scares the animals… and SharonOfTheWoods!)
