It was a cold winter spell. Such a long spell that since waking from their long winter’s nap,  the Gnomes of Dubonett were beginning to fear freezing to death. As they shivered in their huts, not seeing any warmer days ahead and in desperation, they knew they needed to do something to save their children. They needed heat. Without the sun they knew they needed fire! All of their flints to light fires had worn out. So, they needed a plan. But, what would they do?

Mick, The Eldest and protector of the north forest decided there was only one way to get fire. They needed lighting to strike the base of a tree to ignite the leaves. The leaves could be moved to each hut while they smoldered and could be used to light fires for everyone. Lightning is a legendary boy who lives in the sky. Capturing him would be impossible. Persuading him to create a strike has never been done before. What were they to do?

Cyrus The Serious and guard of the northern forest entrance suggested that they capture Lightning’s twin brother, Thunder. Thunder also lived in the sky but he would come to the ground every 17 days to check on his father The Medicine Man. With them having Thunder in their control they could convince Lightning to strike. On the next evening Lightning did what he was asked. The Gnomes collected the leaves and were able to make fire again. They were safe again. But, they feared for the future! What if this happened again? They decided they would continue to keep Thunder kidnapped in case they needed the help of lightning again.

Lightning needs your help! Some of the gnomes know where Thunder is hidden. But, not all of them! They were smart. You’ll have to find and talk to the creatures of the woods in a certain order to figure out his location!
