Stargazer's Tent
Escape to the woods, without all the hassle! Retreat to 16 beautiful acres of trails, and enjoy the ‘rustic life’ while you lounge atop a queen sized memory foam mattress in a fully outfitted Lotus Belle tent with skylights! An additional 2 cots makes this tent ready for up to 4 guests. This is a true Glamper’s Paradise. Wander the trails, enjoy all the perks of farm life, visit with the horses and goats, and take in all the peace and quiet of Camp Dubonett. No pets allowed in the Stargazer’s tent.
Stay in a one of a kind canvas Lotus Bell tent with stargazing skylights, updated with all the modern conveniences you are looking for! This is true glamping without all the hassle of hauling a huge canvas tent and it’s poles along trails into the woods. It even includes fresh flowers and a welcome basket full of local goodies and a smore’s kit!
The tent is “off grid” so it doesn’t have regular house power. It is solar powered! That means that there are lights, 2 small fans and several USB outlets to charge phones and tablets. Regular house power in available in the barn or game room.
BATHROOM SITCH – toilets and showers are located about 200 steps away. There is also an amazing outdoor shower!
PET POLICY – no animals are permitted in the tent.
There are 2 chairs, a dresser, dishware and some cooking pans and utensils. We also provide a jug of fresh water.
Located in a private clearing, and up a trail a few yards away is a seating area which includes a picnic tables and chairs and a firepit to enjoy the outdoors in comfort. Firewood is even provided!
Camp Dubonett was named 2020 AND 2021’s Best Hipcamp Campground in Michigan! Just a short walk from the tent are shared bathrooms, a game room with morning coffee and rainy day movies, rock painting, puzzles, board games, a lending library, and even an adorable mini camp store for all of your last minutes needs.
We’re located next to 4,000 acres of state land that includes miles of hiking, horse and bike trails. With access to Lake Dubonnet through the woods, you can also enjoy fishing, canoeing or kayaking with ease.
Upon arrival your camp counselors will show you around the farm with a wonderful tour full of plenty of dad jokes and local “pro tips.”
If you are interested in fun day activities, we are located 8 miles from downtown Traverse City’s delicious food mecca. We’re also located at the bottom of the Leelanau peninsula that includes Sleeping Bear Dunes, several wineries, Northpoint Lighthouse and the adorable towns of Leland (Fishtown), Glen Arbor, Empire and Suttons Bay. We’re also LBGTQ+ friendly!
NOTE: Guests are expected to complete the Camper Release Form upon, or before arrival.
