What does Saponified Mean?

It is the process that uses Lye to harden the fats in the oils. Once lye combines with the fats in the oils it changes properties and becomes the neutral cleansing product in soap.

What are the benefits of each of the ingredients?

  • Olive Oil – is a monounsaturated fat that is high in anti-oxidants and has anti-inflammatory properties
  • Coconut Oil – is good for blood sugar, high blood pressure, boosts energy and helps as a salve for wounds and burns
  • Goat Milk – is moisturizing, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, anti-aging and helps protect against sun damage
  • Lard – you’re probably saying, Lard? Really? Well, yes. It is rich in omega-3 fatty acids, Vitamin E and Vitamin A and Vitamin D which helps to minimize dark spots and lines, reduce acne, and promote collagen production
  • Cocoa Butter – forms a protective layer over skin to keep in moisture and helps to prevent skin aging
  • Castor Oil – helps to prevent wrinkles, reduces puffinesss, is moisturizing and helps with sunburns
  • Lavender Essential Oil – has the ability to lessen acne, help lighten skin, and reduce wrinkles and can even be used to treat other things, like improving hair health and digestion
